Welcome to Year 3

Clee-Visit from the Fire Services

Today, year 3 were lucky enough to have a visit from our local Fire Service. They came to discuss what their job involves and fire safety.

We also got to see the fire engine and some of the equipment that the fire service use.

In the afternoon, we also had a visit from a local police officer and a PSCO. They also came to talk to us about personal safety and what to do if you feel unsafe – TAG (Tell A Grown-up). In school, we also always say “tell a trusted adult” if you feel something isn’t right.

Seesaw

At St. George’s, we make regular use of a platform called Seesaw (http://seesaw.me).
It is a secure online journal where students can document and reflect on what they are learning in class. Pupils are able to add the things we work on (including photos, videos, worksheets, drawings and voice recordings) to their Seesaw journal. We also set the weekly spellings, and sometimes other tasks, for pupils to complete at home.
Should there be a period of school closure, we are also able to use this platform to record and deliver lessons.

Useful Information for parents

Physical Education: PE is on Thursdays and Fridays. We go outside as much as we
can, so please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.
Key Dates:

Homework
