A note from the Headteacher
I am very proud to be able to share with you the special qualities, opportunities and developments at St. George’s Junior School.
We are a vibrant school and we offer a safe, stimulating environment where pupils are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities. The pupils are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure they are happy and confident. We pride ourselves on being able to offer our pupils opportunities which are relevant to their needs, both now and in the future.
We have designed our curriculum to ensure that our pupils can foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We nurture our pupils through the promotion of ‘a positive growth mind-set’ thereby experiencing success, celebrating positive attitudes and maximum effort; supporting all to reach their full potential.
Our curriculum is inspiring and innovative, giving all pupils the opportunity to progress and develop a wider range of knowledge and skills. Through internal and external learning experiences, we believe that we are developing the whole child which includes their physical health and mental wellbeing. Ultimately, we want every pupil to enjoy an active lifestyle, become self-motivated and develop a lifelong love for learning.
St. George’s Junior School has an exceedingly dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents, carers and the local community. We have a supportive and well-informed Local Governing Body and our PPTA is active throughout the year, raising funds for the School.
The main purpose of our website is to offer a source of information to share with parents, grandparents, friends and the wider community. On behalf of Staff, Governors, and myself, we hope that you and your child experience the many pleasures of Primary Education whilst attending St George’s Junior School.
