Our curriculum is designed to utilise the beautiful and varied landscapes of Shropshire and the West Midlands region.
These opportunities include visits to places on our doorstep such as Shrewsbury Town centre, The Quarry and even a study of the River Severn which includes an exciting boat trip on Sabrina Boat.
We also go out into the wider county to further enrich our learning and provide us with first hand experiences of a range of topics such as history and geography. These visits include Wroxeter Roman City, The Discovery Centre, ThinkTank Science museum, Ironbridge Tile Museum and The Black Country Living Museum.
Every year, in year 6, we offer the fantastic opportunity to visit the Robinwood activity centre in Wrexham. This fabulous 3 day course provides opportunities for our pupils to explore activities that they couldn’t explore anywhere else. It is a fun packed three days which challenges the pupils’ resilience, teamwork and communication skills. Activities are closely linked to our science topic of forces and include: zip wire, giant swing, indoor climbing, caving, archery, canoeing, raft building, trapeze, piranha pool and many more
