This week, Year 5 and 6 had councillor Rob Wilson in for an assembly to talk about his role within the local government and how this feeds in to the national government. He talked about the decisions he gets to be a part of for his constituency (roads, parks, littering…) and how he works with other councillors to then discuss ideas that affect the rest of the county and the country. The children also had some time to ask their own questions about what Mr Wilson does within the local government. Thank you very much for visiting, Mr Wilson.
